I am very pleased to recommend Home Editions Ltd. and Dennis Benoit.We first met Dennis and many of his contracting team in 2005 as they were adding a major addition onto the home of our neighbour, with whom we shared a driveway in Toronto. We were impressed by their courtesy, professionalism and the extra effort they made to ensure that our shared driveway was always clean and accessible. They also completely transformed our neighbour’s home into a modern masterpiece.Through 2006 as we began looking for a new home, Dennis accompanied us to look at a number of potential houses, providing us with valuable advice and budget estimates for possible renovations. During this time he earned our trust and respect.In 2007 following the purchase of our new 80 year old home, we immediately asked Dennis to work with us in developing drawings and ultimately to undertake the renovations. The project included a completely new kitchen, many new windows and doors, several new bathrooms, the removal of weight-bearing walls to expand rooms or improve access, significant electrical enhancements, and the installation of a new heating and air conditioning system.Part way through the project we changed the scope to include the complete renovation of the basement. Other than this addition, there were no changes to the original price. In fact Dennis went out of his way to ensure that we were satisfied by undertaking improvements to the existing house which were not included in our contract. We are very pleased with the result.Although we had no experience with projects of this magnitude, Dennis patiently supported us in making the many necessary decisions. He was knowledgeable, consistently patient, highly responsive to our calls and emails, and sensitive to our family and work pressures that on occasion impacted our ability to respond to his requests on a timely basis.We would sole source any future renovations to Home Editions without hesitation.
