I’ve been working with Benecaid since 2009. I’m the Human Resources Administrator in my office and I provide benefits to medical supply chains for hospitals. I would say the payment process is pretty good. I would say the online features are good for both the admin and employees. The only challenge is if I’ve got some kind of exception, full package or part of the package I can’t make those changes online. My clients are generally happy.

There have been lots of changes to account managers and sometimes we’re not sure who our person is. The pricing can also sometimes be confusing for people who aren’t in insurance. FANTASTIC SERVICE

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

I’ve worked with a fair number of manufacturing and transport companies to use Benecaid products. The advantages are definitely the low stop loss and low self-insured approach. Premiums tend to be a fair bit higher than the rest of the market and it’s sometimes hard to explain their products to some prospects. The clients feel it’s a good idea but sometimes think it too risky to go the ASO model.

FLEXIBLE AND EMPLOYEE FOCUSED

I’ve been in business for ten years and our industry is focused on health and wellness. I was looking at health benefit options and my financial planner recommended Benecaid; there were two in the market and Benecaid’s plan fit best with what I needed.

I chose a Health Spending Account because of the flexibility it allowed my employees. Working in the health food business we take health very seriously and many employees don’t take any prescription drugs. The HSA allows them to get the maximum value out of their plan.

I thought of my employees and how they would like the flexibility to choose how to spend their money. They get four times the coverage compared to traditional plans. They get rewarded and don’t lose it since the funds gets rolled over each year.
