PRESEASON HOCKEY TRAINING WITH DAN HARLAND

This summer I trained with Dan Harland the KIN at the richmond hill and I learned neural practice in movement patterns as well as pre-season sport specific training and will look to do it again in the future sometime..

DAN HARLAND'S PERSONAL TRAINING

Shout out to Dan Harland, a kinesiologist and PT at Wynn. He knows his stuff and has told me a lot of great stuff about periodization lifting schemes, biomechanics and recovery. If you get a trainer, get Dan.

S&C PRACTICE WITH DAN HARLAND

I've been training with a Kinesiologist for the past couple of months at Richmond Hill by the name of Dan Harland. I learned about hip hinge motion, foundational strength and conditioning. As an athlete, he introduced me to a form of periodization that I was not familiar with, and I have achieved a new one RM in my lifts. Based on the scientific approach, I really recommend him.

SUPERB FITNESS TRAINER DANIEL HARLAND

I have been training with Dan for the past three months. His style of training is unlike other trainers I had in the past (not from this gym). Dan taught me important foundational concepts which are essential for anyone long term, such as starting with hip-hinging, learning about tonic/phasic muscle relationships and emphasis on correcting posture through avoiding too many front(flexion) exercise that I noticed are used by a lot of other trainers. His emphasis is on training according to a persons lifestyle and is a huge promoter of self development and continued learning. These and many things he teaches so it's all cool.

GREAT PLACE

The Richmond Hill manager, Mr. Sam, made my first visit at Wynn Fitness Richmond Hill a very informed and pleasant one. I went in for a free trial and after giving me a tour of the fitness place and giving me all the necessary information needed, I became a member immediately.

Thanks to Mr. Sam, he encouraged me to go back to fitness and start a healthy lifestyle again. I encourage anyone to go and visit Wynn Fitness and hopefully become a member because you will not be disappointed at all. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, you would not regret it.

My names Maximus Lee, I have been training with Daniel Harland at Wynn Richmond Hill for 5 months now, and I learned a lot of exercise techniques that previously I hadn’t observed being done before. His style is teaching foundational movement patterns and focuses on tons of science behind exercises, and also give lots of variety in training sessions – like using athletic training on some days and foundational strength lifts such as deadlifts on other days, mental and physical conditioning is also drilled in. Every session that I am with him he gives me a printout of information to learn so I can use this stuff for life. Oh yeah he also helped me reach a new PR in my lifts, so definitely recommend!

I have been training with Dan since January 30, 2017 and I'm very happy with the results so far. He is a very good trainer who has a lot of knowledge and has patience to teach me exactly what to do to reach my goals. He takes the time to show me how to do the exercises and encourages me to do them. To me the hour I train with him he dedicates himself to teach me what exercises is beneficial to me and he makes me work to my full potential and more!

I have been training for a while and wanted a trainer who could help me reach my goals faster and more effectively. Dan is very knowledgable and eager to share his knowledge on fitness and the science behind it with me and i found that very helpful throughout my training. I also found the workouts and info he gave me on my specific goals helpful to take on with me after i finished training with him. Overall, a great experience.

Hi my name is Joe. I'm at the Richmond Hill Wynn Fitness and I do workout with Jeff. Ever since I've been coming to this location and working out with Jeff my trainer I had an issue with my knee and my glutes problem and since I've been working out with him I've been going much better now. I can go up and down stairs, before I had an issue that I had a hard time walking up and down.

GREAT PEOPLE + CLEAN ENVIRONMENT + GREAT RATES = AMAZING GYM

As someone who has worked at a rival Canadian gym, I most definitely have an insight into gym pricing, membership, gym culture and experience as both an employee and customer. I must say that the first great thing about Wynn fitness is their monthly pricing. $30 a month for unlimited access? My gym chain was charging twice that amount. One of the assistant managers (if that is her title) is named Margie, she is super friendly and very helpful! Their staff always greet you kindly, and smile like human beings should. The nice thing about this gym is that the cleaning staff do a great job keeping the gym hygienic! They have staff constantly go through the floor, washrooms, change rooms to make sure they are clean and maintained. I have never once seen a tissue or type of debris on the floor. The last, and I think the most important, is the gym culture. For some reason (a great one!) people who go to this gym have a good understanding of gym etiquette and respect. People put their weights back on the rack, they wipe off their equipment after use and there is a friendly atmosphere. No one should feel intimidated by people when wanted to improve their health, and at this gym everyone can be comfortable no matter what size, shape or fitness level they are at. All in all, a great place to make yourself a healthier person!

I have been coming to this club for 4+ years now. From my first 3mths training/coaching sessions with Terrence to my individual progress; I have enjoyed every moment of it.

Terrence has always been respectful and even after our training sessions ended, he was open with his comments and critique, always keeping a watchful eye!

DECENT GYM

In my opinion, this workout facility is about a 4.0 star. It is very clean and well organized.. The yoga class was fine. There is a wide range of cardio equipment. Wish they had more weight bearing machines on the upper level. My only complaint (and it is a serious one for some of us) is the deodorizer/perfume scent on lower level. It can be extremely strong. Apart from those of us who are sensitive to perfume, who wants to inhale these toxins when working out? I realize it is a basement and may get musty but how about an air purifier system. Really, it is 2016 and many places are scent free. Why isn't Wynn?

HAPPY TO SAY I'M BACK! WYNN ESPLANADE!

I left your gym a couple of years ago when my trainer left. Truth be told I followed her to Hard Candy. Sadly things didn't work out. I recently ran into one of your employee's (Shay) in the neighborhood and she suggested that I return. She spoke so highly of the new trainers and management that one week later I called and booked an appointment for a consultation. I'm now happy to say that she was right! I've purchased sessions and I'm back on track with my health and fitness goals!
